  Vermont's first national park is a place to reflect on the history and meaning of stewardship and the emergence of a conservation ethic. Interpretive programs and Vistitor Center with exhibits. Extensive art collection in Mansion includes Hudson River School artists and the forest has historic carriage roads & trails. Tours of Mansion & Gardens Memorial Day weekend - October 31 each year. Hiking in summer (free), cross-country skiing in winter (trail pass required for groomed trails).
