 Music To Go

It's Summer And The Vermont Symphony Is Hitting The Road
From June 26 to July 6 the Vermont Symphony Orchestra is once again on the road with the "From Vermont with Love " 2008 TD Banknorth Summer Festival Tour.
Summer Tour Stops

June 26 - Middlebury College grounds behind Mahaney Center, Middlebury
June 27 - Jackson Gore at Okemo Mtn., Ludlow
June 29 - Mountain Top Inn, Chittenden
June 30 - Quechee Polo Grounds, Quechee
July 2 - Hildene Meadowlands, Manchester
July 3 - Grafton Ponds, Grafton
July 4 - Shelburne Farms, Shelburne
July 5 - Three Stallion Inn, Randolph
July 6
- Trapp Family Lodge Concert Meadow, Stowe

Led by guest conductor Anthony Princiotti the VSO program will put love in the air. From the "boy meets girl" in Oklahoma, to the hot blooded Carmen, to the comic mismatchings of A Midsummer Night's Dream, love conquers all in this program.

Musical selections include compositions by Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Smetana and Rimsky-Korsakov.

This year's tour will conclude the Vermont Symphony Orchestra's 73rd season. The summer tour is a favorite of locals and tourists alike, with children dancing to the full orchestra alongside blankets and lawn chairs. Each outdoor performance closes with fireworks synchronized to Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" (weather permitting). All concerts begin at 7:30 with gates open in time for picnicking.

For a complete list of concert venues and ticket information, please visit www.vso.org or call the VSO at 1-800-876-9293 ext. 10.
