Vermont Celebrates 250th Town Anniversaries

Seventy Vermont towns have celebrated their 250-year old histories over the past two years.

And this year, 36 more villages, towns, and cities will mark their birthdays. With events ranging from parades and fireworks, to exhibits, performances and a first-ever Arts Festival, you're sure to experience enthusiastic townspeople sharing their pride in the past and their excitement about today and tomorrow.

DUXBURY

NEWBURY
There are a variety of activities taking place to celebrate this Connecticut River town's birthday. Plan to take in exhibits, a series of talks exploring Newbery’s historic past, Railroad Day, concerts, a rededication of the historic Bayley-Hazen  Military Road, and the opportunity to purchase a souvenir book published for the 250th. WATERBURY
