Motorcycle in Vermont

Vermont motorcycling has something for every type of rider, whether you choose to cruise, love the twists of a curvy road or touring small towns with rural character.

Adventure riders can play on Vermont’s 8,000 miles of dirt roads. Sport riders enjoy twisty bits like Route 232 through Groton State Forest and the 53 turns in seven miles found on Route 17 -- the Appalachian Gap. Cruisers and touring riders can relax on roads like Vermont Route 30, rolling from Poultney to Middlebury or on the miles of Vermont’s Scenic Byways.

If motorcycle events fuel your passion, be sure to check out the Wilkins Harley Davidson Bike Show, the Killington Classic and the Crossroads Motorcycle Rally. Lynde Motorsports Art on Wheels in Brattleboro, happens each August, drawing 100-plus rare and exciting bikes to a party that is equal parts street fair, open air gallery and family reunion.

New this year, the Iron Adventure Run in the Okemo Valley is a 110 mile ride celebrating the 110th anniversary of Harley Davidson.

Motorcyclists in Vermont routinely give back through events like the UMV Toy Run and the Mothers for Daughters weekend which raises money for breast and ovarian cancer research.
