World's Best Foliage

Vermonters are generally a humble bunch, but when it comes to fall color, no one does it like the Green Mountain State. This is the home of the World’s Best Foliage, and we’re proud of it. Others may have beautiful leaves, but only Vermont has the working landscape of bucolic villages and pastoral meadows, framed by hillsides ablaze with color. Three-quarters of Vermont is covered by a richly diverse forest, and we have the highest percentage of vibrant maple trees in the country. There are so many reasons we have the World’s Best Foliage, we can’t list them all … but here are a few.
