Chestnuts roasting on open fires, sleigh bells, softly muted by the snowdrifts, ringing through the air and Vermont villages bathed in white snow – does it get cozier than that? Vermont’s winter festivals, with live music, food, drink, and good cheer, are among the best ways to take in the snowy holiday season. Winter festivals continue long after the holiday lights have come down; we’ve put together a roundup of the state’s best winter festivities.

St. Albans Festival of Trees

10-days of homegrown Vermont winter fun with family skating, human bowling, a road race, and stargazing.

North Bennington's Annual Winter Festival

Grab some chili and take in some live music with the kids. Tractor rides, a winter craft market and a pig roast will keep you entertained all day.

WinterFest, Cambridge Community Center

A day that starts with pie for breakfast can only be good. Fireworks, snowmobile rides, a bonfire and ice skating await those who make the trek.

Winter Brewfest 2020
