Visit a Vermont Farm

Visiting a Vermont farm can mean spending a few hours petting farm animals and picking produce, or it can be a more immersive experience. Some farms offer overnight lodging, from farm stays in a cozy room to camping or glamping on-site, giving visitors a chance to really experience farm life. Tours allow you to get hands-on, learning to milk cows, boil maple sap into syrup, and more.

Pick Your Own

The best way to enjoy produce is sun-ripened and plucked right from the vine. Vermont’s focus on fresh food, locally produced, means there’s no shortage of places to pick; all summer and fall you can take your time finding the perfect picks at orchards statewide. Many offer other attractions, too, such as horseback or wagon rides, cider, and apple cider donuts.

Find a place to get picking with the Vermont Vegetable & Berry Growers Association’s Pick-Your-Own Farm Finder.
