A Slice of Authentic Vermont
A HISTORIC DOWNTOWN
At the geographic center of Vermont, you'll find a working town with a lively arts community and scenic back roads, covered bridges, and working farms and forests. Some of Vermont’s best farmland supports local enterprises that produce a tantalizing array of foods. Visitors find everything from Neighborly Farms’ award-winning cheese to grass-raised meats, goat's milk caramel, and everything in-between.
Downtown Randolph is full of historic railroad-era architecture and many Victorian-era homes. It's pedestrian-friendly with shops, restaurants, pubs, parks, and a friendly vibe. The railroad depot area is registered as a National Historic District and has ample free parking.
With superb acoustics, the historic Chandler Center for the Arts is one of Vermont's outstanding performance venues and draws international talent annually for the New World Music Festival. Randolph is where Justin Morgan and his horse Figure lived, founding sire of the famed Morgan horse breed. Today the town is home to Vermont Technical College, the Kimball Library, and the Vermont Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.
The third branch of the White River runs along the town's eastern border. Nearby are the 18-hole Montague Golf Course and more than 240 miles of mapped trails for hiking, biking, cross-country and back-country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. Working farms, maple sugar houses, art studios, country inns, picturesque rivers, and country roads are part of the fun of exploring the villages and country lanes of the greater Randolph area.
Come visit or think about staying. Randolph is also home to state-of-the-art technical, engineering, and medical services and high-quality manufacturing.
